Performance:
What
we are going to do to measure performance is use a motherboard almost
design for benchmarking the ASRock Dual SATA2 motherboard utilizing both
AGP and PCI-e to evaluate three cards and see how well the Apollo 6800
stack up.. We will be using two identical XFX 6600 GT card one PCI-e one
AGP. Now you might wonder why I am using a 6600 card to compare to a
6800 its pretty simple. These 6600 cards are GT class and run around the
same price range as the 6800 so I use the cost method for comparison
over the chipset. It is pretty safe to say that a 150 dollar 6800
probably wont perform very well against a 300 plus dollar 6800 class
card. Our method of testing is pretty standard. Using several Synthetic
benchmark Utilities and some actual game play We will compare the three
cards and see what happens.. Also a second evaluation will be based on
reliability. I will run a single synthetic game test that takes over 3
day to complete if this card even survives without faulting at some
point you know it will be stabile on your home PC running for a few
hours..
