GigaByte K8 Triton Socket 754 Motherboard Gigabyte GA-K8U 02/20/06
Quality: Quality in a motherboard can be measured a few different ways. Longevity something we don't have a tune of time to measure. We did run this board well over 30 days but a true test will take at minimum a year of nonstop running, that's not going to happen. Construction at this point I see very few flaws in the design and building of this board all the components are in place and there was no visible damage to the product. Software, This is an aspect I would like to elaborate more on. I mentioned the easy to install drivers but I would like to revisit this topic. Not only was it one of the easiest driver installs I have performed the hardware worked perfect very little time spent rebooting making for a well tested system giving this board an extra slash for quality.. Last quality aspect is packaging, with motherboard packaging has almost been down to a science for the past several years so I really don't have allot to say for packaging the box does it job well.
Pros: Easy to Install Great Software / Drivers Price All Around easy to use and very stable
Cons: Could Perform a bit better (Considering Price it did well though)
Conclusion: The overall results of our examination of the Gigabyte Triton K8 motherboard was very pleasing I did not expect this board to set any records the intended marketplace is not a ultra series but a base model however the time gigabyte seems to have put into making the board easy to install and compatible makes it a great product and an even better buy. It is easy for our team to award the Gigabyte Triton with our Blue Ribbon Seal of approval for a product well designed and suited for its market. Congratulations Gigabyte satisfying review.
