Performance:
There isn't allot to worry about when it comes to drive enclosures and performance you just need to make sure that the file transfer is stable and the drivers / interface works well. We will use some basic benchmark software just to see how well data transfer does using the USB interface..
As you can see when using the HD Tach software provided by " www.simplisoftware.com " after running a very basic benchmark the Spire GigaPod II does a fin job of keeping the transfer rate just about stable at 30 mb/sec. there where a few spikes but the average performer very well. Spire made a great interface and very stable The PC didn't know the difference between the drives ruining IDE vs. USB all the applications synced up nice and data transfer is great. Please note Spire does make a Fire wire version and some other styles to suite most preferences.. Spire definitely gets a thumbs up from us.. I am positive anyone will be pleased with this enclosure...
