Installation:

Installation is pretty solid hardware is a snap. You have two choices either use USB or connect to the PS2 keyboard port. If you opt to use the Keyboard port the Stealth switch has the additional port to hook your keyboard into along with a USB to PS2 converter. Software to be honest is the actual product this is where all the important stuff lies; the foot pedal is a relatively simple. In the package a CD came with the original 2.0 software we chose to not even load that software and download the newest version 3.0 off their website http://www.stealthswitch.com . I would recommend reading and experimenting with the options. Let me tell you there are a ton of options to use. Everything from specific window allowed to removing everything including the task bar. For security this tool intricate password options allow for easy only press walk away PC locking. No more Control Alt Delete at work just press the pedal and all done.

Quality:

In terms of security the stealth switch is a great idea the ability to instantaneously change the environment protecting Ideas or delicate information can be used not only in the corporate world but at the home as well. Lets be honest there are some things you don’t want the kids to see. And the overall customizability makes this product a very valuable tool. I was not sure if the Stealth Switch was going to be some toy that ended up in the drawer like so many other products but at this point I am thinking of purchasing another for home and the 9 to 5.

I also want to mention the durability of the Switch itself at first glace it looked like a plastic over sized mouse but upon further investigation I realized it is very heavy and the base is weighted making placement easy no mater what surface you’re floors are tile or carpet. I will say the Switch is breakable but with normal uses it should hold up I wouldn’t recommend standing on it or anything crazy but the construction was surprisingly rugged.
