Page 3 Performance

Performance:
What we are going to do to test the performance of this video card is
run a few synthetic benchmarks as well as compare actual game play to a
X800 on the same system. some of our results will be comparisons other
will be just strait results.. The system we are going to use has an ABIT
Fatal1ty motherboard with 1.5 gig of OCZ memory all clocked by SPD and a
4400 X2 dual core AMD 64 bit CPU. We might throw in a few other scores
with our 3500+ AMD 64bit CPU as well if it is not in the review there
will probably be published results on the results page..
First we will run the full gamut Future Mark and
PassMark synthetic test suites these are designed to keep the testing
static so results can be compared without compromise. Bellow you will
see how well the 6600GT performs against the X800 now keep in mind the
X800 is a bit higher in price and performance should be better..
PassMark

Performance Test 6.0

As you can see the 6600GT performs very
well against the X800 in some aspects better.

Again like the Pass Mark software the
XFX6600gt performs very close to the ATI X800

In the Direct X
9.0 are or 3DMark05 scores the 6600 doe fall a bit sort but considering
the price difference and that the 6600 has 1/2 the ram of the X800 the
scores speak for themself.
The second portion of testing we will use a tool from
Hard OCP now this is a hybrid using Unreal Demo with a script to run and
read the results. Hard OCP has some of the best stuff they real have
there act together. Thanks for the tool guys.. Now back to the results
bellow are the basic results using 1280 and 1600 dpi results... The
results use both OpenGL and DirectX and as you can see the 6600GT does a
great job especially for the price.

Last was the real game play bellow are a few screen
shots using both the X800 and the 6600GT one thing I
have always noticed is especially in games like EverQuest 2 the
resolution of the two chipsets are so different you can get into an
argument over who likes what for hours that being said you can decide
for yourself keep in mind the graphics setting are as close to identical
between the two cards.
