Specs:
Additional Features: Quiet, Low Temp.
Installation: Spire makes install about as easy as most to the fans we have seen not to much to note other then the dual connectors with no extra parts. As seen in photos bellow. Also the pre sleeved wiring is a nice extra for though of you that just don't have the patients or confidence to sleeve the wires yourself..
Appearance: The appearance of this product is quite appealing. The fan and case are composed of a UV Reactive, sheer blue plastic. Although it is a pretty standard design for case cooling fans, I find it as a “cool addition” (no pun intended) for a PC case. The fan gives off a cool blue “glow” when highlighted by a black, UV light. There really is not much more I can say in regards to the appearance of this product, other then that the design and UV reactive blue glow add to the look of the case, and is a nice addition for your modding needs.
Performance: The performance of this fan was right where spire said it would be the noise was very quite compared to allot of its competitors. especially the sleeve bearing models.. The plastics where very responsive to the black light as you will see in the photos above. As for the actual RPM's the fan I had to use stayed just about at the 2400 marker at times a bit bellow it is rated plus or minus 10% but in this case the fan actually performed better then specified.. So it is very easy to give this fan a big thumbs up.
Quality: The overall quality of this product is above par. It is well-designed and manufactured. The mounting is secure and all parts are in place and function properly. Although this particular fan is similar to your average case cooling fans, you can tell Spire has manufactured a quality product, which helps it to stand out among the competitors.
Pros:
Quiet/Low Noise. Durable and runs well. Attractive UV Reactive materials create a cool look. Easy to install. Power cable assembly and mounting screws provided in a secure packaging.
Cons: Pretty standard case fan, not recommended if you want high-output cooling for your case.
Conclusion:
Spire has manufactured a dependable, low-noise, quality cooling fan. The low noise level is a plus, and the performance meets the basic standards for basic cooling fan products. The look is appealing as well. Marns CDA is happy to award this product with the Blue Ribbon Seal of Approval.
Rating: 5 out of 6 stars
