RED ERGONOMIC COOL FAN MOUSE USB/PS2 By Logisys
We received the “Cool Fan Mouse” from Logisys. Logisys is a company that began when the first computers were beginning to emerge. They have dedicated themselves to creating more advanced products and designs, aiming towards the eye-catching styles of today’s gaming PC’s and trends. The Logisys Mission Statement quoted from their website: “Life moves in amazing ways. So does computer. We pride ourselves on anticipating the changes by providing the latest design and highest quality products for people who want to have their computer more than just an electronic box in beige, that they could dress it up like changing dresses daily, at the lowest price from the factory, with the friendly services that show smiley faces all the time.” This product seems to represent their intentions and seems to be well-suited to hold its’ place in the current peripheral market. To find out more about Logisys and their products, you may use the following link to their website:
Specs: · Optical 800dpi Mouse with Cooling Fan · USB and PS2 Combination. · Switch: 60+/-15gf · Ergonomic Optical Design, Exact Orientation · Support Windows 95/98/2000/ME/NT/XP · Plug and Play. No Driver needed. · Integrated with Blue LED · Safety and Quality Approval: CE FCC
Installation: There is not too much to the install at all. It is your basic plug-and-use mouse with an USB to PS2 converter included if needed. There is no software and no other “frills” to worry about. Plug it in and it’s ready for use.
Appearance: The overall appearance of this product is pretty sleek. The sides of the shell are metallic silver, with the touch keys and inner sides of a metallic red color. There is a metallic silver striped down the center, from the front scroll wheel to the rear. What makes this product so unique is the inner LED fan and holes in the outer shell for vents, to keep those sweaty palms cool. There is a black on/off switch near the front side of the mouse to turn this fan on or off. The LED lighting inside is pretty cool, with blue, red and pink hues. Definitely a sharp addition to your PC’s flare in regards to peripherals.
Performance: The performance is very well for this product. The click buttons work fine and my platform responds quickly. The wheel mouse works nicely as well. The Laser tracking to platform response works just fine and quickly, enabling pretty precise movements. The fan is comfortable and consistent. I found no issues with the performance of this product
Quality: The quality seems pretty good for this product, although the plastic outer shell is made from a less-durable type of plastic then your more solid, plain cream colored mice, etc. But unless you plan on roughing up your mouse and throwing it against a wall, the materials are not bad. I really like the feel of the scroll wheel as well. It is a thick, soft plastic/rubber material, and as a little wider then the more narrow scroll wheels. The cooling fan feels wonderful on the palms, and the case itself is ergonomically designed, and provides a comfortable fit to the hand. Between all these components, Logisys created a quality, comfortable mouse with some flair.
Pros: Internal LED cooling fan provides a nice look and a nice breeze for your palms. The ergonomically designed shell is comfortable on the hand during use. The scroll wheel is wide enough for larger finger sizes and is comfortable during use as well. The overall appearance is pretty sharp. The performance is good.
Cons: The outer shell is not made of a very durable plastic, which could crack more easily. But, unless it goes through some serious trauma, it should hold up for long-term usage. Conclusion: I would like to congratulate Logisys for creating a good peripheral product and award them a score of 5 out of 6 stars. Nice product and fun too!
