OCZ 420watt "ModStream" PSU

08/26/05

OCZ one of the most well-known memory manufacturers has provided one of their non-memory related products. OCZ is not as well known for their power solutions but recently they have released a few different performance power solutions. We will be looking at the ModStream. This unit is designed for quiet stable power with a modular cabling solution. What is meant by modular cabling is that instead of having a bunch of 4-pin and floppy power cables no in use you only need to plug in the cables needed eliminating a lot of the mess inside your PC.. Lets take a closer look and see if this unit is everything OCZ promises..

If 110 bucks seems like allot for a PSU remember, I have said it before its always better to pay a bit extra on components that are the fundamental part or the main building block. What I mean is a bad PSU can make any PC run half as well as it could. So as long as the ModStream performs as well and as quite as OCZ boosts then the extra dollars for the unit are worth every penny.. Plus the modular extras makes this a very fair price.
