Custom Acrylic Fan Grills
Recently I was in a dilemma. I was in the middle of my first theme Modified PC (SoundWave), and for the grill covers there was not a single company that made one to fit my theme. So I went to the web and found a Lazar Cutting Company out of Las Vegas, NV. Low and behold they can cut just about anything with in reason. ( Fan Grills, Windows, All the good mod stuff).. Price: It will vary on size and the amount of time it takes to cut so the more detail the more they coast but the Decepticon symbols I had made up where somewhere between 5 and 8 dollars a piece, maybe less. Actually its about the same price as buying a made pre design. Procedure: Contact Pololu with a Vector drawing of what you want, make sure its exact because we are dealing with lasers. They cut it and send it out. Just Pick out the color acrylic you want to use and its that easy. The hardest part of the process is getting your hands on an application to design your work.. They did have florescent acrylics as well but not in house an order would have needed to be made.

Appearance: I was well pleased with the end product you can see a few examples HERE along with detailed Mod examples.

Quality: I must say I was impressed on the quality of the cut. There was few to no flaws on Covers. All the covers came well packed and no problems shipping. I received the covers in a mater of days after getting the file over to them. Support: Jan, the person I had contact with went above and beyond to help me make sure my sizing was correct before making the prototypes, and with creating the vector drawing. They will do this for a price if you do not want to deal with making your drawing vector.
Pros: Made very well Price is very competitive Very good customer support
Cons: Making the actual Vector art, if you are not familiar its not easy but the folks at Pololu are more then cooperative. Conclusion: Over all experience and product was more then satisfactory I would definitely recommend this company to any modder that has a great idea and no way cut the plastic or acrylic products.. I would like a say Thanks to Jan from Pololu for making my experience a good one...
